PROSPER'S CORNER 2016

DATE: MONDAY 15 FEBRUARY, 2016
TOPIC: JOY IN YOUR TRIALS - PART 2
TEXT: JAMES 1:2
Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, (NIV)

BODY
We want to look at the part two, and continue from where Gifty ended yesterday on our topic titled JOY IN YOUR TRIALS. It humanly difficult to have joy whiles you encounter trials and temptations. It takes those who are matured in the Lord to have joy in their trials and temptations. Now, the word "trials" [in Greek, peirasmoi] refers to some form of difficulty or pressure in our lives that God uses to test and prove our faith, and to develop in us perseverance and godly character, so that we "may be mature and complete, not lacking anything" (verse 4 of James 1).

Beloved, these pressure or difficulty in our lives does not always come from God, it may also come from Satan or the world. When we encounter such difficulties and pressures, the Bible says we should approach it with and consider it pure joy. We often lack the wisdom to handle such trials and temptations. It is clearly stated in verse 5, that, if any one lacks wisdom he or she should ask God, and he who is able to give without finding fault will give you. Let's therefore ask for the wisdom of God to handle any trials and temptations we go through. Amen! Tomorrow God willing we will look at the part 3, keep following!

PRAYER POINT
GOD I thank you so much for giving me a new life in you. I pray that give me wisdom to handle any kind of temptations and trials that come on my way. This I ask in Jesus mighty name. Amen!
