*CAPSTONE DEVOTIONAL MESSAGE 2016*
*DATE: FRIDAY 3 JUNE 2016*
*TOPIC: THE FOUNDATION PILLARS OF THE CHURCH (OUR FAITH) - PART 2*
*TEXT: Acts 2:42*
_Memory Verse Acts 2:42 “And they devoted themselves to the Apostles’ teaching and fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayers_”
*EXPOSITION*
Beloved, Our memory verse shows that they were committed to doing that *_(breaking of bread, fellowship and Apostle teachings)_* and that guaranteed their spiritual growth and the growth of the church.
Fellowship builds us up, Prayer energizes us, and the teachings of the apostles (kingdom principles) guides us in this life and living like kingdom beings and people of God. Breaking of bread bind us as believers and it binds us with Christ because it is the seal of our new covenant with God. We could see in the account of the life of Jesus that His commitment to fellowship with the father and disciples brought growth of His disciples.
We heard he anointed another 70 disciples, He was filled with power because He prayed daily, He taught and made the disciples knowledgeable, He broke bread and gave wine as a seal to the new covenant. The early church were committed to this because it was what Christ told them to do in the great commission. The apostles held on to the commission. These four pillars fellowship, prayer, breaking of bread and teachings of the Apostles doctrines are the major growth drivers in Christianity and we must all adhere to them if we want to see growth. It’s what constitutes the great commission which is disciple making. Amen!
*PRAYER POINTS*
1. Thank God for today
2. Pray that every Christian will be strengthened
3. Pray for growth and divine speed in all areas of your life as a Christian.
*FURTHER STUDY*
Acts 6
*GOD BLESS YOU*
*Shalom ................... Peace!!!
