1 THESSALONIANS 5:6
_So then, let us not be like others, who are asleep, but let us be alert and self controlled_. *NIV*
*EXPOSITION*
Praise be to our God Most High for a wonderful day like this. From our topic; *to be alert* means means *stay awake and keep watch*. We are not to be only alert for the *day of the Lord*, but rather to be spiritually prepared in order to escape the wrath of that day *(1 Thessalonians 5:4-9)*. My cherished reader, if we wish to escape God's wrath, we must remain spiritually awake and morally alert, and continue in faith, love and the hope of salvation. Not forgetting that we are to be alert as Apostle exhorted the church in Thessalonika.
*PRAYER POINT*
Father I thank you for the gift of life upon my life and loved ones. I have come to you to equip me and to help me stay awake for your coming and to also escape your wrath. In Jesus mighty name I pray, Amen!
