TEXT: JOHN 9:3
"Neither this man nor his parents sinned", said Jesus, "but this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life.

BODY
The work of God is always been displayed in our lives, at times knowing them and other time unknowingly. Here, Jesus used the opportunity to correct his disciples' erroneous belief that every serious affliction or disaster is the result of some kind of sin. Like some of us, we have put on the same character of the disciples' thinking that any pain, sickness, affliction, disaster, etc one goes through is as a result of sin. It is never so. They all happen so that the work of God might be displayed in their lives.


At times sickness does result from a serious sin (John 5:14), but not always. Sometimes suffering, pain, affliction, disaster are permitted because of a divine purpose. That is to display God's love, care, mercy and power. Often in the world, the innocent suffer when the wicked do not. Every challenge you face as a Christian, remember that, at times you face such not because of a particular sin but the work of God might be displayed in your life. This also does not mean we should continue sinning. Sin can lead to serious sicknesses or affliction. Amen!

1. Pray and thank God for his blessings upon your life, nation, family and the church.

2. Ask God for to strengthen you the more when you face any affliction of any kind.
