TOPIC: THE LORD'S ANOINTED - PART 2
TEXT: ISAIAH 45 : 1
Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut.                                                
BODY
I want to continue from where Elder Emmanuel Osei-Bonsu Badu ended yesterday on the LORD'S ANOINTED. As believers of this age, the grace to been the Lord's anointed have been made available to all. From our text, Cyrus, although not a worshipper of God (verse 5), yet still he is called "His anointed", the same title God gave to His son (the Messiah, or Christ). In spite of your persona, God can still choose you as His anointed. Cyrus did not acknowledge God that much, but he was still anointed by God for a purpose. You too can be the Lord's anointed now!

Cyrus was anointed in the sense that he was used by God to perform the important task of setting Israel free from bondage so that God could complete his plan to use Israel to bring about the salvation of the human race. God can still anoint you, to be used for His purpose, therefore do not feel insignificant. Be obedient to Him and learn to hear his voice. Cyrus as a character study here was a great king of the Persian empire, conquered Babylon and soon thereafter issued a decree permitting the Jews to return their land, including Jerusalem.

PRAYER POINT
1. Thank God for his goodness and mercies upon your life and Ghana.

2. Be ready at all times for the Master's call. Pray and ask God to anoint you also, like he anointed Cyrus.
