_If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be given you._*(NIV)*
*EXPOSITION*
God through His word gives the opportunity to those who remain in Him to ask whatever they wish. The phrase _"ask whatever"_means we must come to Him through prayer in Jesus name. And in asking Him our wish, we must pray in _harmony_ with His _nature_, _character_and _will_. Praying in the name of Jesus, therefore, means Jesus will answer any prayer that he would have prayed himself.
As the opening text is, the secret of answered prayer is _remaining in Christ._The more intimate that our life in Christ is through prayer, fasting, worship, meditation on and study of the Scriptures, the more our prayers will be in line with the nature and words of Christ, and thus the more effectual our prayers will be. Today, you have the opportunity to ask whatever you wish if you _truly_ remain in Him. God bless you.
