*TEXT: HEBREWS 3:7-8*
7 So, as the Holy Spirit says: "Today, if you hear his voice, 8 do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion, during the time of testing in the desert *(NIV)*
*EXPOSITION*
Grace from God Almighty be to you my cherished reader. Every believer who has come to know the truth about the Kingdom of God must learn to always desire and hear, and to desire and hear the voice of God. For hearing the voice of God brings blessings. In our text today we read that, Today if you hear his voice, through this script, you are not to harden your heart. If you are reading the Bible do not think that you are reading merely the opinions of the writers, rather you are reading the very words of the Holy Spirit revealing who God is, the nature of His salvation and what His will for the church and for our lives. It reveals the truths about God.
Like I said early on, the key to the blessings of the Lord is hearing and Obeying His voice. Reading from verse 1-6 of Hebrews, the writer refers to the Israel's disobedience in the desert after their exodus from Egypt as a warning for believers under the new covenant. And because of the Israelites' unbelief in the promises of God, disobedience, failure to resist sin and hardness of heart, they were barred from entering into the promise land. In this age, believers must also realize that they too may fail to enter God's rest in heaven because of unbelief, disobedience to His voice and allowing their hearts to grow cold and hard.
*PRAYER POINT*
Father I ask of you to help me hear your voice everyday and not to harden my heart. Amen!
