TOPIC: GOD WILL POUR OUT HIS SPIRIT ON ALL PEOPLE
TEXT: JOEL 2:28
"And afterward, I will pour out my Spirit on all people. Your sons and daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, your young men will see visions.
EXPOSITION
I am often in love with this verse of prophet Joel. The name Joel means THE LORD IS GOD. And indeed the Lord is God. The Spirit of God must really be poured out on people in this end time in other to strengthen the faith we have in God. In the text we saw that, prophet Joel predicts that, a when God would pour out His Spirit on everyone who calls on the name of the Lord. And anyone who calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved? The question is have you called on the name of the Lord? God is ever ready to pour out His Spirit on every single individual who with a repentant heart and mind call on His name.
The free outpouring of the Spirit of God will result in a charismatic flow of the Spirit and prophetic manifestations among God's people. Apostle Peter quoted this same scripture in the book of Acts explaining that, the outpouring of the Spirit on that day was the beginning of the fulfilment of Prophet Joel's prophecy. You should be aware that, this prophecy is an ongoing promise to all who accept Christ as Lord, for all believers can and should be filled with the Holy. In conclusion, brethren, desire for the outpouring of the Spirit of God and you will see the manifestations of it thereof. Amen!
PRAYER POINT
1. God deserves our appreciation. Show Him some appreciation by a prayer of Thanksgiving.
2. Ask God to pour out His Spirit on you, your family, Nation and the church.
