TOPIC: GOD IS A FATHER TO THE FATHERLESS
TEXT: PSALM 68:5
A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows, is God in his holy dwelling (NIV).
EXPOSITION
Biologically, everyone has a father who tend to your needs. Your father acts as the breadwinner of the family. He performs his responsibility as a father. In our text today the psalmist describes God as the father to the fatherless. In the entire Bible (Old and New Testament), we see the fatherhood of God among the faithful ones.
Because He is a father to the fatherless he delights in protecting the weak, disappointed, lonely, disadvantaged, poor, etc. God's fatherhood comes to those who humbly and obediently walk in His presence and Word. If you feel rejected and dejected in this world system, you should ask God to put you under His special care and protection. Amen!
PRAYER POINT
Father I come to you in prayer asking you to put me under your special care, protection and blessings in Jesus mighty name. Amen!
